There are historic records of what are very likely transgender people dating back thousands of years. In some other cultures, transgender people have been openly accepted for hundreds of years.
Yet today there is no definitive test that someone can take for this, but medical science is making progress on this. For now, it is a process of working with a therapist and other medical professionals; all of which I have done.
